a few years ago i was browsing a friends pictures and came across a wedding. the pictures were remarkable! frantically i searched up and down the net to see who she was... this person that gave me a new path... i didnt find very much at the time--- but months and months later, never forgetting her name, i once again googled: "Brianna Saban"

... there she was, her blog and an inspiration for me for years to come. i have looked to her for guidance, support and knowledge during my never ending strive in the photog business and she never once has turned me away! this post is a "Thank you" to her for helping in visions ive had and putting up with my countless questions!

In about 9 days my mom will be getting married... the guy is great and will def treat her right. I am so very happy for the 2 of them and cannot wait to be in the presence of true love on April 3, 2010... exactly one year from the day they met. Last nite we had a makeup rehearsal for the bride, she was nothing less than stunning! Makeup was done by Amber Duke, my cousin. She did a wonderful job and I know this wedding will be just as great!

It was quite a day for pictures... the sun came out only enough to give decent lighting and the wind stopped blowing just enough to be able to drive around Albuquerque and snap some pictures of our little ladies. My cousin Amber has a daughter that is about 2mo. older than Leilah, her name is Destyni Rose. They have an interesting relationship cuz they are like night and day. Tyni is 11mo w/ no teeth, crawling and completely co-dependent(well at least she was that day)! LOL. Leilah is 9mo., 7 teeth, doesnt crawl and is pretty self reliant-- except when she is sick :( But despite differences we had a good time with these 2 ladies!! They truly looked beautiful in their tutus and converse!

We baptised my daughter Leilah Amor on Valentine's Day. It was so very special & I'm glad all my family was gathered to celebrate with us. Her Godparents are Lynda & Julian Maietta, my best friends, and faithful servants of the lord. I know they will lead and guide her through tough times in life and help her make all the best decisions. They gave her the baptismal/saint name of "Rose" and the meaning couldnt be more perfect! Good job guys!!
St. Rose of Lima

Virgin, born at Lima, Peru 20 April, 1586; died there 30 August, 1617.
St. Rose of Lima is the patroness of Latin America and the Philippines. This South American Saint's real name was Isabel, but she was such a beautiful baby that she was called Rose, and that name remained. As she grew older, she became more and more beautiful, and one day, her mother put a wreath of flowers on her head to show off her loveliness to friends. But Rose had no desire to be admired, for her heart had been given to Jesus. So she put a long pin into that wreath and it pierced her so deeply, that she had a hard time getting the wreath off afterward. Another time she became afraid that her beauty might be a temptation to someone, since people could not take their eyes off her. Therefore, she rubbed her face with pepper until it was all red and blistered.
St. Rose worked hard to support her poor parents and she humbly obeyed them, except when they tried to get her to marry. That she would not do. Her love of Jesus was so great that when she talked about Him, her face glowed and her eyes sparkled.
Rose had many temptations from the devil, and there were also many times when she had to suffer a feeling of terrible loneliness and sadness, for God seemed far away. Yet she cheerfully offered all these troubles to Him. In fact, in her last long, painful sickness, this heroic young woman use to pray: "Lord, increase my sufferings, and with them increase Your love in my heart."
Many miracles followed her death. She was beatified by Clement IX, in 1667, and canonized in 1671 by Clement X, the first American to be so honoured. Her feast is celebrated 30 August. She is represented wearing a crown of roses.

one of my most favorite parts about having a significant other is that i adore watching him interact with our daughter. she is wonderful & always brings out the best in him. their smiles bring my heart pure joy! this random mid january snow was her first "significant " snow. there was enough to play in and snowflakes were still falling so she got to experence them on her nose. it was a wonderful moment for myself and miramon, although i dont think she was truly impressed. it was a momnt in my life that i will cherish <3
